What the hell?

Here's a quote from a Playstation 3 promotional site...

'Playstation 3 is a console that screams digital carpe diem and will redefine reality as you know it'

What, in the name of all that is sane, are they talking about! Do marketing people just link random words together to write this crap? (No offence, Boo!)

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go and try to get my runny, melted brain back into my head with a mop and a funnel.

I am cowless

I suppose all good things have to come to an end, and the Cow Parade finishes tomorrow. I spent a happy afternoon today going round Edinburgh, taking photos and ticking the last few off my list. (I know, I can be a bit obsessive about this sort of thing.) There were only four cows that I couldn't see - ones that have been removed because of the amount of damage done to them.

Some that were less damaged were taken away to be repaired (in the cow hospital, of course) and then resited indoors - one was rehomed at Boo's work. Unsurprisingly, most of the vandalism was to cows put in areas with lots of pubs and clubs, presumably by drunken numpties thinking it's funny to swing on them and pull bits off.

Another good thing about the cow parade is that it's got me to go to parts of Edinburgh that I've never visited before. It's been a bit like being a tourist in my own city, which is an interesting feeling. I think I'll have to go exploring more often.

By the way, I'm in the process of putting all my cow pictures up on Snapfish, so if anyone wants to see the cows, let me know and I'll send you the link.
Or possibly you've all got lives...

Hi, honey - I'm home!

So, I'm back from my holiday. Did you miss me? Back in Edinburgh, back to work... I hate having to go back to the same old routine. I'm planning some fun things to do, though, such as a weekend's camping and some trips to the beaches near here.
Jonas was very happy to see us again, although he got spoilt rotten while he was staying with Al (Chris's best friend). He seems to have got even bigger while we were away - Jonas, not Al - but he's as lively and overexcited as usual.
Well, I think that's about all for now. There'll be another post soon with a selection of photos, as soon as I can clear enough room on the computer to upload them. See you then.
